1. Announcements
F. Jandt announced that the Rogers Scholarship Banquet will take place on November 14 this year.
E. Yasuhara announced that the Ron Barnes Theatre naming event will take place on January 11, 2004.
S. Kamusikiri announced that she is ready to begin implementation of GE outcomes assessment for breadth areas and that she is in need of committees for Natural Sciences, Arts and Letters, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. There will be release time available for faculty involved in these committees. Department chairs need to appoint faculty to these committees, through the deans. Sandra Kamusikiri will be sending a call for appointments to the deans soon.
M. Tracey said that his office will be offering planned giving training.

2. December Commencement Morales
There will be two ceremonies at the December commencement (December 13) this year:
BPA and SBS 9:00 a.m.
A&L/EDUC/NSCI 2:00 p.m.
Nine possible speakers have been suggested. L. Fernandez will take a prioritized list from AAC to the Vice President’s Council.

Deans need to tell chairs that if they cannot make it to the Leadership Retreat on September 19, it is important that they send a representative on their behalf.
