Graduate Assistant

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
OF DUTIES
Under the supervision of the Department Chair, the
incumbent will provide assistance to faculty by:
Collecting and arranging data
Developing source materials
Summarizing reports
Searching the literature
Compiling bibliographies
Preparing and caring for research
materials
Preparing course materials and aids
Performing
other functions requiring knowledge and background beyond that generally
possessed
by undergraduate assistants.
MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS
·
Currently enrolled
as a student at CSUSB
·
Must be able to
work cooperatively with faculty, staff and other students and to accept
responsibility.
·
Must maintain
academic eligibility throughout employment period (3.0 GPA or higher).
Exceptions to the
minimum eligibility qualifications may be granted at the sole discretion of the
University.
TIMEBASE OR HOURS OF APPOINTMENT
0 - 20 hours per week
HIRING CRITERIA
Applicant
must be able to use the internet and other library sources and programs to
search the literature and compile bibliographies. The applicant must also be able to collect
data and summarize reports.
